Hop on Hop off Tauranga City sights

On most days that cruise ships visit the Port of Tauranga Bethlehem Coachlines offer a Tauranga City highlights tour. This tour runs all day, times dependent on the arrival and departure of the Cruise ship.

The tour is a one hour continuous loop of seven major attractions in the City area. Passengers buy an all day pass and can leave the bus at any attraction and then hop back on the next bus.

The stops are:

  • Mount Maunganui Hot Pools (entry fee not included)
  • Mount Maunganui Town Centre
  • Bayfair Shopping Centre
  • Classic Flyers Aeroplane Museum (entry fee not included)
  • The Elms Mission House (entry fee not included)

The Elms Mission HouseThe Elms Mission House

Step back into the past with a visit to The Elms in Mission Street (formerly the Te Papa Mission Station). The 1839 library is the oldest in New Zealand and the Mission House was built in Georgian style in 1847.

The historic garden is free to all visitors. There is a small charge to see inside the House and Library.
