T1 – Hop on Hop off Tauranga City sights

On most days that cruise ships visit Tauranga, Bethlehem Coachlines offer a Tauranga City highlights tour.
The “T1 Hop On Hop Off” tour is a continuous loop of attractions in the City area.
This tour runs all day, dependent on the arrival and departure times of the Cruise ship.
For most ships arriving overnight, the first Hop On Hop Off bus leaves at 09:00 in the morning.

Where, When and How……

T1-Hop On Hop Off Buses depart the Port gate every 30 minutes and finishes each loop right outside the Cruise terminal gate – next to your ship.
Tickets can be purchased at the Port,  from the Tauranga i-Site Centre in the ‘big tent’.  It’s on the wharf, right next to the ship.

Passengers can hop off the bus at any attraction and later on hop back on another T1 bus.
The T1 buses run every 30 minutes, so you can take an e.g. 20 minute walk at the Mount Beach, a leisurely 80 minute lunch in Tauranga, or a 2 hour shopping adventure!
Timetables for the day are available when you board the bus with your T1 ticket

You can email us to pre-purchase a T1-Hop On Hop Off ticket ;  price is $38 per adult / $22 per child (5-15yrs), or you can simply buy tickets as you walk off the ship.

Just ask for “a T1 ticket , please” at the i-Site centre at the Port gate.
We also offer a Single Return ticket for $22; this enables you to visit just one stop (eg Tauranga City for lunch), and then return to the ship on a bus.

When you have your T1 ticket – head out the wharf gate…………..and look for the lady in the PINK Hat!  She will get you on board your T1 bus.

The T1 buses stop at:

  • Mount Maunganui Hot Pools (entry fee not included)
  • Bayfair Shopping Mall
  • Classic Flyers Aeroplane Museum (entry fee not included)
  • The Elms Mission House (entry fee not included)
  • Tauranga Art Gallery (opposite i-Site)
  • Historic Village
  • Tauranga City Centre (outside i-Site)
    Then back to the ship.
