Hop on Hop off Tauranga City sights

On the days that cruise ships visit the Port of Tauranga Bethlehem Coachlines offer a Tauranga City highlights tour. This tour runs all day, times dependent on the arrival and departure of the Cruise ship.

The tour is a one hour continuous loop of six major attractions in the City area. Passengers buy an all day pass and can leave the bus at any attraction and then hop back on the next bus.

The stops are:

  • Mount Maunganui Town Centre
  • Classic Flyers Aeroplane Museum
  • Cargo Shed Arts and Crafts
  • Tauranga City Centre
  • The Elms Mission House

Stop for lunch at one of the many waterfront cafes and restaurants on the strand, visit our arts and culture precinct, and take a stroll to see some of our cities heritage buildings. Post office, business services, banks and internet also available.


The Elms Mission HouseThe Elms Mission House

Step back into the past with a visit to The Elms in Mission Street (formerly the Te Papa Mission Station). The 1839 library is the oldest in New Zealand and the Mission House was built in Georgian style in 1847.

The historic garden is free to all visitors. There is a small charge to see inside the House and Library.

The bus departs and finishes each loop from the Cruise terminal at the Port,
Tickets can be purchased at the Port, Tauranga I-Site or off the driver at any of the stops.
